The first practical step to the specialty

Within 14 days starting from 11 January, the 2nd course students of the Department of State and Legal Disciplines were held the introductory internship. The first time they worked in their chosen profession and gained experience in the law enforcement and the judicial bodies, and in the production teams.

According to the supervisor of the introductory internship Professor Mukazhanov Kairbek Mukazhanovich: “The role of educated, able to apply their knowledge in practice young people is great for the development of the state”.

Students must obtain a deep knowledge of the specialty and learn how to apply them in the workforce. To do this, the students of the second and fourth courses have professional practice.

The bases of practice are: the office of courts of Astana city, the Department of Internal Affairs, the Department of Justice, the Department of Consumer Protection of Astana city, and other organizations with which the Institute has the long-term contracts. Some students travel to the places of residence of the parents, to the organizations where they have the opportunity to develop professional practice and find future employment.

Years of experience have shown that the students and the organizations of the practice bases are satisfied with quality of practice. The proof of this fact can serve the records of the students according to practice, their characteristics and the grateful letters from the bases of practice.

At the end of practice the students protect the progress report, where they share their experience and impressions, tell about their activities.

The student of the group Юк 14-01 Rashken Elaman, held practice in the Department of Internal Affairs of Kurshimskyi district of the East Kazakhstan oblast, expressed his opinion: “I learned how to use the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other normative-legal acts. The knowledge gained in the Institute helped me to quickly navigate in practice and make my work much easier. I think every student should undergo the introductory internship in the future to become the professional of his or her major…

I’m glad I had the opportunity to show my knowledge gained while studying at the Institute. This knowledge helped me in the internship, I plan to go in the same direction and do everything to become a professional lawyer”.

The first practice is always the most difficult. You meet much unknown things; it is your first practical work.

However, good theoretical knowledge, thorough preparatory work at the Institute and the friendly attitude on the bases of practice contributed to a successful internship.

We hope that the first introductory internship will be a big step in the study of the foundations of the specialty.
